Adverb Clauses of Time

Time clauses are introduced by conjunctions such as when, while, before, after, as soon as, until, by the time, once, as. A critical rule: NEVER use a future tense (will) after these time conjunctions — use Present Simple to express future meaning.

Example Sentences

As soon as the manager arrives, we will start the briefing.
Please complete the form before you submit your application.
